Originally built in 1947, this renovated house in Los Angeles has been given a modern farmhouse makeover. The house is set back from the street with mature landscaping, a gated entry, and a large front yard.
The house is listed for sale through Jagger Kroener of The Agency.
Let’s take a look around the home and it’s guest house…
The Exterior
The exterior of this house was inspired by modern farmhouses, however a matte black exterior gives it a contemporary appearance, and a small porch creates a place to relax or take shoes off before going inside.

The Living Room
Stepping inside, there’s an open floor plan with the living room at the front of the house. A vaulted ceiling creates a sense of height, while the furnishings and wide-plank oak floors add warmth to the interior.

The Kitchen
In the open concept kitchen, there’s an oversized island with custom matte black cabinets, Calacatta Retro marble countertops, and an apron front white sink.

The Dining Room
The dining room has a wood table positioned underneath a modern chandelier, while in the corner, a small bar has been built into an alcove.

The Home Office
The home office has been furnished simply, with a wood desk, a couple of chairs, a small round rug, and a plant in the corner. The black-framed windows provide views of the trees outside.

The Bedrooms
The home has a total of three bedrooms, with vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom, which also includes a spacious walk-in closet, and sliding glass door looking out to the private backyard. In another of the bedrooms, a simple wall hanging catches the eye.

The Bathrooms
All of the bathrooms have bright white walls and black window frames in common. The master bathroom has a wood vanity, light grey tile floor, and gold hardware. The second bathroom also has a wood vanity, however it’s paired with a dark grey countertop, while the third bathroom has a floating black vanity and hardware, as well as light countertop and a built-in shelving niche above the bath.

The Patio
The home opens up to a patio with string lighting, and a large backyard space ideal for leisure and entertainment.

The Guest House
At the end of the backyard there’s a fully equipped ADU (accessory dwelling unit), that has a white exterior with a small private patio.

The Guest House Interior
Inside the guest house, there’s an open floor plan with a bedroom, living room, small dining area, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
