Designed by architect Maarten Hofmans, this home and guest house in Arrowtown, New Zealand, sits on a large and private lot that includes a picturesque pond filled with wildlife and established surrounding plantings.
The home is for sale through Terry Spice of Luxury Real Estate. Let’s take a look around…
The main home has a concrete exterior with a black metal sloped roof.

Stepping inside, and there’s floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the interior with an abundance of natural light. The dining room is anchored in the open floor plan by a hanging pendant light with a textured gray shade.

Adjacent to the dining room is the living room, where a wood-burning fireplace with a concrete surround helps to keep the room warm on a cool night.

Behind the living room is the kitchen. Black cabinetry and countertops provide a strong contrast to the other interior design elements, like the wood ceiling and white walls.

The home also has a library with black bookshelves that incorporate a desk.

The master bedroom has been kept minimal in its design, however a partition wall provides some separation from the en-suite bathroom.

A second bedroom has been furnished for a child and includes a variety of artwork and a small desk.

In another bathroom, fish scale tiles in shades of blue cover the walls and line the shower niche.

The guest house, which is situated behind the main home, is covered in weathered steel, giving it a rusty appearance. Inside, there’s a kitchen with white cabinets, as well as a guest suite.
